CEDEAO Annonce de formation: intégrer la sensibilité au genre dans les pratiques énergétiques

CRTC/CEDEAO sont engagés pour l’intégration de la sensibilité au genre dans le développement des systèmes énergétiques résilientes face au changement climatique. Dans ce contexte, Partners for Innovation et MDF assureront des formations à des organisations gouvernementales et non-gouvernementales qui sont actives dans le domaine de l’énergie en l’Afrique de l’Ouest. Ces formations auront lieu au mois de février.

8th meeting of the Committee for Standard Harmonization of ECOWAS (TMC)

ECOWAS BAMAKO, MALI – 14th OCTOBER 2017 - The chair of the Technical Management Committee for Standard Harmonization of ECOWAS (TMC), has stressed the importance of standards and their harmonization to protect people and the environment. Dr. Justin Kickaff was speaking at the 8th meeting of the TMC held in Bamako, Mali from 9th to 14th October 2017. The forum brought together officials from the standards control bodies in ECOWAS member countries designed to enhance quality production in the region.

Cabo Verde, October 16 – 20 - With the support of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management (BLMFUW), ECREEE solicited the technical expertise of the Universite Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar- Centre d´Estudes et de Recherche sur les Energies Renouvalables (CERER) to undertake hands-on training for local cookstove artisans in Island of Santiago, Cabo Verde.

ECOWAS launches the preparation of the regional off-grid electrification project (ROGEP)

Dakar, Senegal 12th October 2017 - The preparation of the regional off-grid electrification project (ROGEP) was launched in Dakar on the second day of the ECOWAS sustainable energy forum.  It is one of ECOWAS Community Development Projects designed to facilitate investments in a bid to increase access to sustainable electricity services in the ECOWAS region.  This according to experts will cater for households, productive uses as well as social services, such as public health and educational facilities.
