Capacity Needs Assessment
As a first step, the Centre implemented a Capacity Building Needs Assessment in the entire ECOWAS region. The main objective of the study was to assess the available RE&EE capacity building infrastructure in the 15 Member States and to identify innovative regional approaches to fill existing gaps and needs. The study was prepared by ECREEE in cooperation with the Kwame Nkrumah University of Technology (KNUST (Ghana), 2iE (Burkina Faso), and the University of Cape Verde (UniCV), (Cape Verde). Based on the results of the study, ECREEE is currently developing a Long Term Capacity Development Program. The full report on the capacity building needs assessment can be downloaded below.
