Bidding completion for the supply and installation of equipment for a clean minigrids of 27.5 kWp solar PV plant

Under EREF 2, ECREEE has provided a grant to Plan International Spain to build a clean minigrids of 27kWp solar PV plan  in the village of Gorou I (“communauté rurale de Kourthey / Region Tillabery”). Plan International Spain launched on 11th April 2016 an International bidding competition to supply solar equipment the solar station.

Supply and Transport of Solar PV materials in southeastern Senegal - Kolda / Senegal

The ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) and it partners have granted, by the EU for the Energy Facility Project in Senegal (Sustainable Development by Renewable Energy in the South-Eastern of Senegal – DPER-SE), for the supply of 800 kWp of solar PV and accessories (including invertors, batteries, supports, …) in Kolda, Senegal.

In July 2013, the Authority of ECOWAS Heads of State and Government renewed its commitment to the provision of access to sustainable energy services in West Africa by adopting the ECOWAS Renewable Energy Policy (EREP) and the ECOWAS Energy Efficiency Policy (EEEP).

The policies include a broad range of RE&EE measures to be implemented at regional and national levels, and represent the ECOWAS contribution to the achievement of the Sustainable Energy for All (SE4ALL).
